Thought I'd contribute my correspondence with LG, which only resulted in further affirmation that they do not plan to offer any further offical bootloader unlocking EDIT: If anyone would like me to forward them the original email and reply so that they may deliver their own frustrations in the form of a reply to LG, PM me. Hello, Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are sorry to inform you that currently we have no plan to support bootloader unlock on all G4 devices, but we will deliver your comment to the related department. We apologize for the inconvenience. Best Regards, LG Developer site Team - Original Message - From: atm1991 To: LG Developer STAFF(developer) Date: 2015/11/29 10:54:11 Subject: Bootloader Unlock G4 H815 SEA and all G4 handsets in general To whom it may concern, I write to you as yet another frustrated user suffering at the hands of your arbitrary, and I would contend rather discriminatory bootloader unlocking policy. My understanding is that in the course of internal testing, you accidentally exposed bootloader unlocking for the G4 H815 SEA on the developer.lge.com website (in addition to the European variants you support with offical unlocking) proving that this is not a technical limitation of certain handsets, and that accordingly, some fortunate owners of this SEA model were able to have their bootloader officially unlocked. Those of us who did not exploit this finding and possess non-European handsets accordingly now have to endure a locked bootloader and a restricted handset.
I respect greatly LG's decision to position the G4 as a flagship phone developers can love. Both the removable battery and SD card support are greatly appreciated additions for these users and show LG does listen to it's customers.
However, the decision to only allow official bootloader unlocking on handsets from a single geographic region constitutes a form of discrimination against a large portion of your user base and does not encourage myself or others from these excluded regions to purchase your handsets in the future. What your company seems to fail to realise is that those who develop for and experiment with your phones (be it via app development or custom ROM development/experimentation) are often the greatest advocates and evangelists for your products to everyday users. They are the disseminators of technology to the masses, trusted sources of advice to the Mum's and Dad's of the world considering handset options in an ever competitive high-end market, where it is all too easy for them to just get an Apple iPhone, Samsung's latest and greatest iteration or one of the many other flagship Android handsets on offer.
Accordingly, most of these more technologically savvy users do not care if they void their warranty because their bootloader has been unlocked. They are passionate technologists who wish to get the most out of devices they have spent their hard earned money on and are capable of troubleshooting all but the most certain of hardware issues. I draw your attention to this forum thread where your owners are willing to pull together and commit money ($750USD and counting) for someone to develop an unofficial bootloader unlock for the G4.
You have an opportunity here to solve this issue, enable bootloader unlocking for all variants of the G4 and turn this situation into a feel-good PR/marketing piece showing LG cares about it's developer community - Once again, I implore you to consider offering bootloader unlocking for all variants of the LG G4, regardless of geographic origin. This is a flagship handset developers and tech-savvy Android users want to stand behind, however policies like this will continue to drive some of your most passionate evangelists to redirect their energies to developing for and promoting other high-end Android handsets. I look forward to hearing your response.

There should be a movement here. Lol If only all of us who owns a G4 and wants to unlock the bootloader emails LG expressing our frustrations for their disinterest to the hardcore developers of xda and the tweakers of their android phone, I think it might actually work. Someone should make a thread, and perhaps create some sort of template for the people to use to e-mail LG haha I mean, if we could get like thousands of people constantly e-mailing LG, it may work. Similar to how those who protests sometimes get what they want ahha.
In order to use, you must have model H815, your phone's country code has to be in Europe region. Regardless of the silliness you may have read elsewhere, is the ONLY way you can bootloader unlock a G4 look at the photo below, see the GBR country code on the label? - this would be a model variant you can unlock! Here are the country codes that should work fine with!
BAL BEG CZE DEU ESP EUA FRA GBR GRC HUN ITA NEU NLD POL PRT ROM SLO SWS if you have been able to unlock any other country codes, please let us know here! (I realize that the SEA code phones were unlockable briefly, but that was just an oversight, LG claims) also let us know which of the above codes are on the end of your phone's box if you succeeded in using LG's bootloader unlocker - mine was CZE - UPDATE: - word on the street is that LG has started allowing Europe region carrier specific phones to be unlocked, that adds these additional codes as unlockable - woohoo!
